Lemon and Ginger Drink

Ingredients:

  • 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
  • 2-3 tablespoons honey or sweetener of choice (adjust to taste)
  • Lemon slices (for garnish)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Make Ginger Infusion:
    • In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
    • Add the sliced ginger and reduce heat to a simmer. Let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes to infuse the flavor.
  2. Mix the Drink:
    • Remove the saucepan from heat and strain the ginger slices out of the water.
