Ingredients:
Main Ingredients:
2 cups cooked chicken, cubed
3 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)
1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup chicken broth
2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup crushed Ritz crackers for topping
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare the Casserole Mixture:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, broccoli florets, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, 1/2 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese, chicken broth, cooked rice, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
Transfer to a Baking Dish:
Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch (or similar size) baking dish. Spread it evenly across the bottom of the dish.
Add the Topping:
Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the casserole mixture. Then, evenly distribute the crushed Ritz crackers on top to create a crunchy topping.
Bake:
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and bubbly, and the topping is golden brown.
Serve:
Remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy it warm!
