Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning mix
1/2 cup water
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tube refrigerated pizza dough
1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup salsa
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
1/4 cup chopped cilantro (optional)
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess grease.
Add the taco seasoning and water to the skillet with the beef. Stir well and cook for 5 minutes until the mixture thickens.
Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface and cut into 6 equal rectangles.
Spoon a generous amount of taco filling onto one half of each rectangle, leaving space around the edges. Top with a mix of cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
Fold the other half of the dough over the filling, pressing the edges together to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges.
Place the pockets on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with the beaten egg.
Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the pockets are golden brown and the cheese is melted inside.
Serve with sour cream, salsa, green onions, black olives, and cilantro for garnish.
