Ingredients:
4.5 lbs country-style pork ribs
2 12 oz cans Dr. Pepper soda, divided
¾ cup BBQ sauce
2 tsp liquid smoke
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp ground black pepper
Directions:
Prepare the Ribs in the Slow Cooker: Place the country-style pork ribs in a slow cooker and pour one can of Dr Pepper soda over them. Cover and cook on low for approximately 7 hours or on high for about 4 hours, until the ribs are tender and succulent.
Preheat the Oven: As the ribs near the end of their slow cooking time, preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
Prepare the BBQ Glaze: In a small bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, liquid smoke, garlic powder, ground black pepper, and the remaining ½ cup of Dr Pepper soda. Stir well to incorporate all the ingredients.
Transfer the Ribs to the Oven: Carefully transfer the cooked ribs from the slow cooker to the wire rack on the prepared baking sheet.
Brush with BBQ Glaze: Generously brush the ribs with the prepared BBQ glaze, ensuring that they are evenly coated on all sides.
Bake the Ribs: Place the ribs in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes. After the initial baking time, flip the ribs over, brush with additional BBQ glaze, and bake for another 15 minutes, or until the ribs are caramelized and glazed to perfection.
Serve and Enjoy: Once cooked, remove the ribs from the oven and serve them hot, with any remaining BBQ sauce on the side for dipping.
Thank you! Enjoy!
